Dependable Pediatric Care

At Campfire Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, we aim to create an environment where you can feel confident about the care your children are receiving. This means you can expect Dr. Dan to sit down, listen, and give you the time you need to ask your questions. When it comes to caring for your kiddos, we value quality over quantity. As an independent dental practice, we are committed to using only the highest quality dental materials and latest techniques in our treatment. This means that the dental treatment completed on your child will be reliable. Your children will always be our top priority!

A Dental Office Your Children will Love

Play Area

At Campfire Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that going to the dentist can be a pleasant experience for both adults and children. That’s why we have created an environment where your children can play and relax when they come in for their appointments.

Beverage Station

Bringing your child to the dentist can be a lot of work, so we’ve created a space for parents to sit and relax while their children are receiving treatment. Grab a coffee or tea, and let us take care of your kiddo for a while.

TV’s and Interactive Projectors

One of the best ways to calm your child’s nerves about going to the dentist is to make them feel at home. Our TV's have access to streaming services so your kids can relax and enjoy their favorite shows and movies.

Tools for Treatment

Here at Campfire Smiles, we are always looking for ways to help your child. We know that dental operations can be scary and painful, but our goal is to get the discomfort to as close to zero as possible.

Numbing Jelly - We have a pharmacy specially compound our numbing jelly to be stronger and make it as though there was never a shot.

Entertainment & Distraction - If Dr. Dan's dad jokes are too corny, we have technology! Dr. Dan believes that screen time is more powerful than some of the sedation medications we use, without the risk! We have TVs that allow your child's favorite characters to help get them through treatment.

Coming Soon - Dr. Dan plans to implement laser dentistry and teeth scanning technology to eliminate the need for scalpels and mouth-gagging impressions.

Get To Know Dr. Dan Hoang

Dr. Dan started Campfire Smiles Pediatric Dentistry to provide quality care to families. He has been serving Colorado Springs for the years, and it was finally time to start his own practice. He wanted to build a practice with parenting values that focus on the long-term well-being of children.

There’s nothing more rewarding than being able to make a positive impact and teach his patients lessons that they’ll take with them forever. He is an adamant believer in the importance of self-confidence for a child’s chances at life-long success, which is why helping your children to keep smiling is so rewarding! Dr. Dan actually correlates his success with how many kids he can inspire to become pediatric dentists.

Dr. Dan is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and an active member of organizations supporting Pediatric Dentistry.
Professionally, positions he is holding or has held include:

- President of the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- Colorado representative of the Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Dan was born and raised in Edison, NJ. The first born of Vietnamese parents who immigrated to the US during the Vietnam war, Dr. Dan was taught young that nothing in life should be taken for granted. “If my parents can come to a new country, start from zero, learn a new language and have the success that they have today, then I will always strive for nothing but excellence with all the opportunities I am given.”

Throughout high school, he worked at the pediatric dental office that he himself grew up in. It was there that he discovered his passion for working with children; dentistry was a bonus. Dr. Dan was accepted into a 3+4 accelerated dental program right out of high school.

He attended Pennsylvania State University for three years, graduating magna cum laude.

He went on to four years of dental school at Temple University, in Philadelphia, where he graduated summa cum laude.

He then completed his pediatric dental residency at Children's Hospital Colorado, where he served as chief resident.

Soon after, he earned his board certification and maintains his status as a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Since then, Dr. Dan has been in private practice in Colorado Springs while also maintaining privileges and an adjunct faculty position at Children's Hospital Colorado. Dr. Dan is excited to meet you! He along with his wife and daughter, are proud to be a part of this ever-growing community.
